Cookies

Like other websites, resilience.io uses ‘cookies’ that enable it to operate and to provide an understanding of how the website is being used, which helps us to improve the content and performance of the site.

If you have a login account, we keep a ‘session cookie’ which is used to identify you uniquely to the website for the duration of time you are logged in, and is then removed once your browser is closed. It is not used to identify any user individually, and is required for the proper functioning of the site.

Cookies may also be set by other websites who run content on the page you are viewing. These are called ‘third party cookies’. Details about those used on the ecosequestrust.org website are set out below.

Third-party cookies

  • Google Analytics: This is a web analytics service which uses ‘cookies’ to anonymously track how visitors use the site. While not essential to the website’s functioning, analytics are very important in helping us to improve the site’s content and performance. However, if you prefer to delete Google Analytics, please go to  https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • YouTube: We embed videos from our official YouTube channel using a privacy-enhanced mode. This mode may set cookies on your computer once you click on the YouTube video player, but YouTube will not store personally-identifiable cookie information for playbacks of embedded videos using the privacy-enhanced mode.
  • Social media: We have also included a number of features which allow our users to share or like some of the site’s content via social media. If you use any of these features, please consult the privacy policy of the applicable service provider for information about the cookies that they set.

If you prefer, it is possible to block some or all cookies, or even to delete cookies that have already been set; but you need to be aware that you might lose some website functionality. Find out more (external site).
